StoryWeaver

StoryWeaver is a worldbuilding and story-bible companion for long-running projects – novels, game worlds, campaigns and shared universes. It helps you keep track of characters, locations, factions, timelines and lore so your world stays consistent as it grows.

Planned: Desktop app + web companion Worlds · Characters · Timelines · Lore Future: AI helpers & consistency checks

StoryWeaver is in the concept and planning stage. This page explains the direction and how it will fit alongside GAC Studio Plus and other Sidon tools. Public builds and screenshots will be added once prototypes are ready.

Universe-level planning

One place for the whole world

Create a project for your universe, then divide it into continents, regions, cities, factions and storylines. Each entry can hold notes, tags, links and references, so nothing lives only in a notebook or a half-remembered document.

Linked to GAC

Feed worlds into games

For adventure games built with GAC Studio Plus, StoryWeaver becomes the source of truth for lore. Rooms, NPCs and items can reference StoryWeaver entries, keeping descriptions and character details consistent as you update the world.

For books, scripts and campaigns

Beyond just games

StoryWeaver is also planned as a companion for novel series, comics and tabletop campaigns. The same world can power a trilogy of books, a game and a comic without the canon getting messy.

Worlds & regions

Locations, maps and cultures

Create entries for planets, continents, regions, cities and points of interest. Record culture, history, politics, climate and important landmarks, with cross-links to characters and events that happened there.

Characters & relationships

Who knows whom, and why

Track characters, their roles, goals and secrets. Record relationships, families, rivalries and alliances. See where characters appear in your timeline and which chapters, scenes or quests they touch.

Timelines & arcs

Events across years and series

Organise events into timelines: wars, discoveries, personal turning points and background history. Attach events to characters and locations so you can see who was where, when, and what they knew at the time.

Lore entries

Concepts, rules and systems

Capture the rules of magic, technology, organisations, religions, species and more. Tag these entries and link them to the scenes and quests where they matter, so you can keep your world’s logic consistent.

Planned AI helpers

Suggestions, not full control

Long term, StoryWeaver is intended to offer optional AI helpers: suggesting missing links, spotting continuity clashes, and helping you brainstorm ideas that still fit your existing canon. You stay in charge of what is accepted.

Exports & integration

Bring your lore out

Planned export paths include: summary sheets for editors or players, data for GAC Studio Plus, and static “story bible” documents you can share or archive. The goal is to avoid locking your world into one tool.

Current status

Concept & planning

StoryWeaver is currently at the concept and design stage. Internal notes and prototypes will shape how worlds, characters and timelines are stored and linked.

Next steps

Internal prototypes

Early prototypes are expected to focus on desktop-first world management with a smaller, focused feature set, then expand into a web companion and deeper integration with GAC Studio Plus.
