Sidon Adventure Archive

Contribute to the Archive

The Sidon Adventure Archive is still growing, and contributions can make a genuine difference. Scans, corrections, recollections, catalogue notes, credits, interview leads, and historical context all help strengthen the record.

The aim is not simply to gather material, but to preserve it thoughtfully and present it with proper care, context, and respect for creators and rights holders.

How to send material

Best practice

  • Include as much identifying detail as you can
  • Note the platform, publisher, and region if known
  • Say whether the item is original, a copy, or a later reprint
  • Keep scans straight and legible where possible
  • Tell us if you want to be credited, unnamed, or contacted first

Helpful context to include

  • Where and when the material came from
  • Whether you own the physical item
  • Any uncertainty around dates or variants
  • Any details that still need confirming
  • Whether the material has appeared elsewhere before
Care and copyright

Important contribution principles

Respect for rights holders

Contributions should support preservation and documentation, not bypass the rights of creators or owners.

Accuracy over speed

It is better to send partial information honestly labelled as uncertain than to guess and create confusion in the record.

Editorial discretion

Submitted material may be edited, summarised, held back, or declined if it is unclear, inappropriate, or legally problematic.

Contact

How contributions will be handled

A fuller submission and contact workflow will be added as the archive grows. For now, this page acts as the public guide for what kinds of material are useful and how contributions will be approached.

Planned future workflow

  • Direct contribution contact route
  • Clear credit preferences
  • Review and follow-up process
  • Page update acknowledgements where appropriate

For now

This page can be used as the archive’s public contribution statement while the rest of the redesign is built out. Later on, it can be expanded with contact details, upload guidance, and more formal submission notes.
