Closed beta: GAC Studio Plus web demo

Selected testers are helping refine parser stability, puzzle flow, and general usability before a wider public release.

Creative tools and interactive fiction preservation

Build adventures. Preserve their history.

Sidon Systems brings together two main strands of work: the development of GAC Studio Plus for modern adventure creation, and the growth of the Sidon Archive as a curated home for interactive fiction history, studio histories, interviews, and preservation notes.

The site is being redesigned as a cleaner, more focused home for these projects, while other areas of the wider Sidon ecosystem gradually move to their own dedicated sites.

Current direction: this main site is centred on GAC Studio Plus, the Sidon Archive, and selected development updates. Sidon Labs and other wider ecosystem projects will sit on separate sites as they mature.

Current focus

Three core public pathways

The redesigned homepage now leads visitors into three clearer routes: building new adventures, exploring interactive fiction history, and following development progress.

GAC Studio Plus

Adventure creation suite

A modern toolset for building text adventures, parser games, and future story-driven experiences. The desktop rebuild remains one of the main priorities across Sidon Systems.

  • Map and room building
  • NPC, item, and puzzle systems

Sidon Archive

A growing archive devoted to interactive fiction companies, notable creators, exhibit pages, scans, interviews, and the wider history surrounding adventure games.

  • Company and studio history pages
  • Pioneer interviews and notes
  • Curated exhibits rather than cluttered listings

Featured entry points into the archive

The Sidon Archive is being shaped as a curated collection rather than a simple download directory. Visitors should be able to step into a studio, a person, or a preserved exhibit with context and editorial care.

Featured interview: Scott Adams

One of the most important names in early computer adventure history now has a dedicated interview page within the redesigned archive structure. This sits within the pioneers interview route, separate from the studio heritage page.

The interview page now lives at the correct archive path and should be treated as a featured exhibit-style destination.

Studio histories

Company pages such as Level 9, Magnetic Scrolls, and others are intended to feel like compact exhibition rooms, balancing background, influence, technical notes, and visual material.

Heritage pages Studio timelines Exhibit galleries

People and pioneers

Interviews, profiles, and correspondence with key figures help anchor the archive in lived history, connecting classic works to the people who made them.

What this means

The foundation is now visible: locations can be built, linked, and inspected. The next stage is about making the editor more flexible, more visual, and easier to use in longer projects.

Over time, this section can become a stronger front-page development log, with milestones linked out to fuller update pages.

Sidon Support Circle

Sidon Systems is not only about software. The long-term aim also includes a calm, human space for support, encouragement, and honest conversation.

Planned first phase

The Support Circle is being designed as a moderated, community-led area centred on kindness, encouragement, and thoughtful discussion.

  • Talking openly in a respectful environment
  • Sharing setbacks, progress, and small wins
  • Offering encouragement without judgement
  • Helping people feel less alone
